"new-look" Monkees, in which case they employed love beads, shades, paisley gear, Indian boots, and, in Micky's case, a huge head of curly Afro
hair. As production on the show's second season progressed, Michael would also adapt to the "new-look" Monkees phase by abandoning his
omnipresent wool hat in favor of shades and neckties.
